Dr. Craig Murphy is a board-certified orthodontist. Born and raised here in New Orleans, he is proud to serve the community he has always called home. Dr. Murphy earned his Bachelor of Science degree from LSU and went to LSU Dental School, where he excelled for four years in all aspects of dentistry. He graduated dental school ranked #1 in his class with a perfect 4.0 GPA! Dr. Murphy completed his specialty training in Orthodontics at LSU, where he earned the award for most outstanding resident! After 11 years of LSU training, I guess you can say he bleeds purple and gold!
Growing up the youngest of 4 boys with a father as a physician, Dr. Murphy knew he wanted to practice in a profession geared towards helping others at a young age. Dr. Murphy is married to his hometown sweetheart, Kelsea; they have a fantastic bundle of joy, Rowen. Outside of the office, Dr. Murphy loves being surrounded by family and friends and has a passion for fishing and all Louisiana’s sports teams. He is an active parishioner at St. Dominic Church. Dr. Murphy is caring and compassionate with his number one priority to provide personalized service in creating healthy bites and a beautiful smile.
So far so good. Initial results. Seem to be going very well. After my 15 week first checkup.Second, check up went well, Dr. Murphy and his team are not only very attentive but always on time.At 66 I decided to have my teeth straightened out and I so happy with the result so far.

All of the employees there are so kind and so helpful and make everything so easy.Julie was very accommodating and thorough when explaining the Bodden options for payment; whatever you need they make it possible! They take the time to keep you informed of everything that’s happening and address all questions or concerns you may have.From the time my daughter got her braces on in December of 2024 until the time we got them off, August of 2026, everything went perfect! I would highly recommend Murphy Orthodontics as they provide caring,, warm, welcoming, and helpful service to their patients from day, one!
Ortho process was quick, friendly, & informative. Staff is super friendly & nice😍
No waiting. Friendly staff. Quick appointments. And most importantly the Invisalign works as advertised. Definitely recommend
